Year 2 Kapa Haka

Our children were amazing when they performed on stage at an assembly.  They certainly are the best Kapa Haka group in my opinion.

Eid Celebration

We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating Eid with some of our lovely parents and their children.  All of Room 12 received goody bags and were simply delighted.

Our Change Inquiry

We began our inquiry on Change this week by noticing and observing to record the changes made when you put coloured lollies on a plate with water.  We used Kool Fruits because they were bigger but the changes were slow and had varying degrees of success.

Indonesian Celebration

We were so lucky to learn some new things about Indonesia yesterday.  There are so many people that you don't have any space between you and you need to cue up for ages to use the toilet.  We even held a 100,000 rupiah note and made lots of dreams of what we could do with it.  As it turns out, not much in New Zealand but if we had it in Jakarta we could buy lots of things.

Sophie's a Star

Sophie has had her very special poem from creative writing published in the Extra magazine which comes out monthly in the Otago Daily Times.  We are very proud of you Sophie.

To celebrate national Star Wars Day, we made Yoda puppets with our buddy class.  It was a little challenging for the big buddies as well as the little buddies but it was worth it in the end.

Cross Country 2018

We were absolute super stars at the cross country this year.  We took on the challenge and did our very best.
