The School Pool

We loved being able to go in the school pool when it was so unbearably hot.  We did some splashing around, learned some new games and practiced some of our skills.  Take a look at how nice the water looks.

Celebrating Our Cultures

One of the ways we like to celebrate our wonderful variety of cultures in Room 12 is to showcase the country of the flag that we have outside our room.  The flag is changed every two weeks and we invite families from that country to come and teach us some language, share some culture, food or photo's, explain some differences or similarities between that country and New Zealand.  Anything goes really and we are always keen to learn new things.  I will let you know the flag we have in our weekly emails.  This week we have the American flag.  If you would like to come and share any part of your country with us at any time, please let me know.  I can always order a particular flag for a particular fortnight if this helps with forward planning.

I am so looking forward to a year filled with celebrations of all types.
